Composer joins SoFi – Composer
Composer joins SoFi
Today we have some very exciting news to share: Composer has joined SoFi!
I’m so grateful to both our customers and our team for getting us to this point. Over the last six years, we’ve worked tirelessly to build the best platform for designing, sharing, backtesting and executing automated trading strategies. Our customers have been a constant source of inspiration and feedback, pushing us to be better. And our work still isn’t done - there’s so much more we want to build, and it looks like we will finally have the resources to build the future of Composer.
Bigger Together
SoFi’s mission is to help people reach financial independence to realize their dreams. This is a mission that instantly resonated with me and the team. Our mission at Composer has been to give retail investors tools normally reserved for institutional investors, fitting naturally into the overarching mission of helping regular people reach financial independence.
By joining forces with SoFi, we benefit from one of the most trusted names in fintech. Founded in 2011, SoFi is a profitable, fully chartered bank with over 14 million members. Just recently, Sofi Invest was ranked the number 1 product for do-it-yourself investors by JD Power and Associates.
The reality is that fintech, particularly brokerage, is a very resource intensive industry. While there are fun aspects of being a startup, we believe that by leveraging SoFi’s platform, distribution and institutional know-how, we can mitigate many of the resource constraints that can be challenging for a startup.
At the same time, we want our customers to know that the Composer they know and love remains fully operational with no changes for end user account access. We plan to continue to operate Composer as its own separate product experience for the foreseeable future.
Thank you
I want to end this note by saying thank you to our team, customers, and investors who all believed in us when we were a relatively unknown startup. I’m just as excited to continue building Composer as when we first started as a moonshot of an idea in April 2020.
